What is the Hair Loss Friendly Campaign?
The ‘Hair Loss Friendly’ campaign is aimed at making everywhere welcoming to people with hair loss. Places of work, education, wellbeing and everyday life will be encouraged to take a few simple steps that will help to break down barriers and open up access to people with hair loss.
The unique campaign will offer it’s hair loss friendly expertise via everyday business, organisations and individuals. From spas to colleges to work and social places. The campaign offers ideas in a bespoke way to support any person experiencing hair loss. From thoughtful touches such as the provision of a wig stand in a spa, peer to peer support at college or work, to accessing valuable information when people are at their most vulnerable, Hair Loss Friendly will help to empower and enrich everyone it touches.

How will the campaign run?
Free resources will be provided such as training videos, downloadable guidance and social media campaigns. The Hair Loss Friendly campaign is a movement to inform, engage and inspire everyone to support people with hair loss.
The campaign wishes to engage people in all places of work, education, leisure, wellbeing and social interactions to take steps to extend a welcoming hand to people with hair loss.
Whilst the campaign centres on females there will of course be support for males as well. Support will flow for people from all ethnicities and encourage social inclusion.
Exciting brands and leading educators are already on-board.
For example heritage spa brand Champneys are encouraging every spa to jump on-board.
Who is behind the campaign?
The Hair Loss Friendly campaign is being led by Jasmin Julia Gupta, the founder of Cancer Hair Care, the UK’s leading hair loss support charity.
A pioneer with a holistic approach to hair loss and hair care, Jasmin’s mission is to create a fairer, more compassionate and inclusive society by sharing her unique hair loss knowledge and expertise.
Jasmin, her expert team, volunteers and many women who have themselves experienced hair loss are driving the campaign along with leading beauty brands such as Champneys and educators such as North Hertfordshire College.
““When a woman loses her hair, it is often a traumatic experience. Left unsupported, she can experience image anxiety and isolation. Many barriers still exist that prevent women with hair loss from enjoying everyday experiences that would give them a vital confidence boost when they need it the most.
No matter what you do or how well you do it, let’s work together to positively change the future of hair loss”
Says Jasmin Julia Gupta – Hair Loss Friendly lead campaigner, Founder of charity service Cancer Hair Care and social enterprise Jasmin’s Hair Share and Twin Hats.
